About the sponsorship

What difference do I make as a sponsor?
Your support means a lot to your sponsored child, the family and the entire local area. An independent analysis of our sponsorship program by RMIT University in Melbourne has determined that our sponsorship programs reach the most vulnerable, marginalized and vulnerable children in the world. More girls and boys go to school in the communities where we have sponsorship programs. The longer we are in a community, the more children go and stay in school, and the better access the community has to water and sanitation. This is part of the difference you help make as a sponsor. You can also make a difference for the child by writing letters with the child and the family, because that way they can teach them about cultures other than their own.

What information do I get as a sponsor?
As a sponsor in the PlanBørnefonden, you have a unique opportunity to follow the life of your sponsored child, and at the same time experience the difference your support helps to create in the child's local community and country. We are in constant contact with you and keep you updated on how the child is doing and the projects you are helping to support.

Look forward to getting:
The welcome from your sponsored child within three months.
Annual update on the child with new pictures.
Annual report on PlanBørnefonden's work in the local area and the country.
Emails with important news.
Newsletter if you choose it.
Magazine with news and articles about our work.
Tax deductions for your contributions.
Possibility to write with the child and the family.
Possibility to visit the child and the family.
On our digital platform MitPlan, it is also easy to follow the life of your sponsor child, keep in touch with the family and send a small greeting or gift.

What does it mean to be a sponsor?
As a sponsor at PlanBørnefonden, you create progress and development in your sponsored child's local area through the projects you support. You make a big difference for your sponsored child and for the entire local community of which the child is a part. You are helping to ensure that families have better living conditions and that more children have a safe upbringing with better access to education and health.

But you also do much more than that. You support the fight to ensure children's rights and equality between girls and boys, and you help to change the living conditions for the world's most vulnerable children and young people locally, where the child lives, nationally in the child's country and globally.
